Exotic Tropical Fish – Different types

There are a variety of exotic tropical fish to choose from. Not only are they valuable but they   are very beautiful and breathtaking to look at. If you could learn and understand about the different exotic tropical fish, then you will be able to determine not only which ones you like best and prefer, but also which would make the best combination if you are planning on putting many fishes of varieties in a tank together.

Oscars

Oscar’s variety is considered to be an aggressive fish. It should be careful when it is put together with other fishes in an aquarium. They are available in a variety of different colors and sizes. When they are smaller, they are able to survive for a short time in smaller aquariums. However once they start to grow you will want to increase the size of their living space as well, usually up to at least 50 gallon aquariums.

They are considered as being one of the best types of exotic tropical fish because they are so easy to look after and grow. When they are smaller, you can simply feed them with floating flake fish food for tropical fish. When they grow over three inches long, feed them with floating pellet food.  Though you can technically feed them with other types of food, including feeder gold fish and black worms, it is a better choice to just stick to giving them the floating pellet food if possible.

Angel Fish

Angel fish are another fan favorite when it comes to exotic tropical fish. They are truly one of the most beautiful types of fish available in the world. They are rather weak fish when they are smaller but their strength increases as they grow older. They are preferred choice of aquarium fishes as they are also incredibly easy to breed. They are also preferred  because they can be put together  with so many other types of fish, like  Silver Dollars and large Tetras, Swordtails, Platies and Mollies, Bala sharks, Gouramis, Rainbows and Giant Danios.

The Butterfly Loach Fish

The Butterfly Loach fish is another popular choice of exotic tropical fish, and they are good choice because they adapt very easily and well to aquarium life. They are often be seen sucking on the side of the aquarium glass and is highly entertaining to watch them in an aquarium. They are also compatible with most of other varieties of exotic fish.
